In fact, according to a study by publisher Mills & Boon, six of the world’s ten most romantic locations can be found on European soil.

1. The Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye

The Scottish Islands are famed for boasting some of the most enigmatic and romantic landscapes found anywhere in Europe. The Isle of Skye, situated just off the mainland’s northwest coast, is one of the best representations of this country’s stunning natural beauty. It’s the perfect place for your adventurous proposal.

One of the most picturesque places on the island to get down on one knee can be found at the Old Man of Storr. This world-famous rock formation stands at over 160ft high, and offers views of surrounding islands Rona and Raasay. Just make sure you and your partner are dressed for the occasion.
