Whether you’ve bought your quinceanera dress or you’re renting it, you need to make sure it’s prepared for travel. Buy a garment bag and practice packing it correctly to avoid getting wrinkles.

Sweet 15 Quinceanera - Paris Adventure

1. Take the left side and right side of the gown and fold both ends towards the center.

2. Take the bottom of the train (if you have one) and roll it up into the garment bag.

3. When you’re ready to zip it up, place a finger on the other side of the zipper to avoid any fabric getting caught.

HOW TO PLACE YOUR DRESS IN THE OVERHEAD BIN

If you need to roll up the dress, start with the hanger. Otherwise, try to find a compartment that has enough space for you to lay the dress on top of other passengers’ bags.

Should I Pack a Portable Steamer ?

A steamer is a life-saver when you’re travelling with a formal dress. It’ll help you get rid of any wrinkles before your quinceanera photo shoot in Paris.

Tip: Buy one when you get to Europe. The voltage difference in US steamers and European electronics will make yours malfunction.

For an unforgettable quinceanera photo shoot session, plan your trip between April and August.

APRIL TO MAY

It’s springtime in Paris, and as the weather starts to warm up, the city comes alive. The cherry blossoms line walkways along the Seine River and the gardens are in full bloom. Flights and hotel rooms are also a bit cheaper, so you’ll have more money to splurge on experiences in the city.

June to August is summer and a beautiful time of year to visit Paris. The weather is warm, the days are long, and you won’t have to worry about rain ruining your photo session.

The only downside is that its high season in Paris. You’ll need to wake up extra early to get a shot of the Eiffel Tower without anyone around.
