Important dates for the Paris Olympics

  1. 1. The Olympic Torch Relay will be in Paris on July 14 and July 15, 2024.
  2. 2. The Olympic Games will be held between July 26 and August 11, 2024.
  3. 3. The Paralympic Games will be taking place from August 28 until September 8, 2024.

Knowing that many places will need a make-over and that new infrastructure needs to be built, many places will be probably closed to public a couple of months before and after the official dates of the games.

Will the Olympic Games take over the entire city of Paris?

The short answer is yes. Around 7 million people are expected to join the Olympics.

  • ALEXANDER 3 BRIDGE, one of the most iconic Parisian landmarks. Closed. Opens gradually after August 11th.
  • BIR HAKEIM bridge another great spot with an amazing Eiffel Tower view. Closed from July 18 until July 27th.

    Dear Carmen,

October should be totally fine. It looks like trocadero will be completely free of works on October 8th. That being said, Trocadéro, the most wanted location should start to open as early as July 27th.

We are looking forward to having you on board!

        Hello Berline!

For the moment, the upper part of Trocadero is open and it might be open until early July. That being said, there are spots with a similar view over the Tower, such as Bir Hakeim bridge, avenue Camoens, etc

Then, there are so many beautiful locations that Paris has to offer, we can surely find spots that will make your daughter look stunning and will remind her of how beautiful Paris was during her special trip.

Fred, we would love taking your photos. I would recommend the Montmartre area, which is not far from your hotel, with a park for the second location. Parc Monceau or Jardin de Bagatelle.

We just booked a photoshoot for May 8, 2024. will we able to still get photos at the trocadero?

    Fran
    Friday, April 5th, 2024

Right now, on April 5th, we are standing in line to get a few photos at trocadero. In a month, even that spot might go away. So we would suggest using alternative spots with eiffel tower view such as bir hakeim, avenue Camoens, etc

My girlfriend and I will in Paris August 14th. I will be proposing. Would like the Eiffel Tower to be in the background for an engagement sessoin. Will TraCaDero be open on that date? Open to other spots that would have a view of the Eiffel Tower.

    Fran
    Monday, June 17th, 2024

Ted, thanks for considering us to capture your proposal photos.

Not sure if Trocadéro will be open on that date.

We are trying to be up to date with all the location related information, given that we are out taking photos every day, it’s mandatory.

So we can advise on which spot is ideal for your eiffel tower proposal.

Hi-We will visit Paris during the peak Olympic dates – July 23-July 27th. Will there be any options to take photos with the Eiffel tower?

    Fran
    Wednesday, July 17th, 2024

    Hello Shilpa!

I’m afraid that will be impossible, unless you have a hotel room or hotel terrace with an Eiffel Tower view.

Indeed, as the article explains above, most of the streets around the Eiffel Tower will be closed from July 18th until July 26th.

That being said, there are many beautiful alternative Parisian spots and landmarks available besides the Eiffel Tower which will make your Paris photos unique.
